El Bolson
The weekend went relatively smooth... I went to the hippie little town El Bolson for one night, which is 2 hours from Bariloche. Even though its also becoming heavyly populated touristy destination, there is lots of spirit left. I stayed away from the center, in the ¨country house¨´ called Casa Del Viajeros. The owners of this self susttained house are local artists. There is one big room devided by curtains and mattreses with clean sheets, etc.. Really cozy and basic... There were several rules that needed to be followed, separating organics from inorganics, closing the toilet cover (Its a Feng Shui! :). But a great place, that attracted more peaceful and friendly backpackers!!! It felt like spending a weekend in the country house...
But, there is a but....... One thing surprised me though, was that while i was mindlessly chilling on the porch waiting for my 8 pm bus back to Bariloche, the owner asked me to leave or pay half of the price for the following night.... And basicly gave me 5 minutes to leave the house... It left a little of bad taste... It does not seem to be very feng shui to me ! :(
Well, One of the ¨hippies¨ was the girl i met in Ecuador in August... She is, i think, recently turned hippie :), and in the last 2 weeks of her year-long trip. She looked very different back in August ... :) I also met another Zhenya here.. both of us were shocked when her boyfriend called her name, we both jumped... :) funny moment! This Zhenya is originally from Belorusia, but as a child moved to Germany and now lives in Chile.. Spanish was her main language...
Now, back again to Bariloche for an exciting week of learning spanish in the La Escuala Montana!!
