Friday, the 13th.
I have been in Barioche for several days now, the biggest town in the lake district in Argentina...
The post-Torres del Paine hype is long gone..... I ´ve been having some unlucky several days.... ..
To summarize: lost my small digital camera, got tons of viruses on my memory stick with pictures, which took 2 days and several Argentinean computer geeks to recover and my fancy Havaiana´s flip flop broke in the middle of the street, which caused a lot of emabarassement, becasue i refused to walk barefeet on the asphalt back to my hostel... so i limbed and dragged my foot... and got a lot of attention :))). When Hawaina broke, i was actualy ready to take it and just smilled and took it easy!!!
But the most painful experience of the last several days was when the seemingly really cool and sweet and hot fellow German traveller in his early 40´s, made a comment related to the obnoxious and loud young Israelies... When I asked him about the World War II, he said something along the lines in a joking way... SORRY, THAT WE MISSED MANY OF THEM.... Its a scary reality :(
Lesson learned: Never bring up the topic of war !!!!
Stay tuned for more positive news !! ;)
